Many federal, state, and local agencies are exploring AI and automation's potential. Recent declarations from the Trump Administration and the Office of Management and Budget emphasize government's interest in applying AI and automation to enhance and augment business, mission, and program tasks.
Despite this level of interest, agencies must navigate multiple hurdles to effectively and successfully deploy AI and automation at scale. Based on our experience helping over a dozen government organizations harness AI and automation, this paper details five keys to success and lessons learned that can help leaders avoid common pitfalls.
