The events of 2020 changed our operating landscape. Employees moved from working at the office one day to working from home the next. Cybersecurity swelled to include employees’ virtual locations. With physical sites closed, citizens still needed access to information and services. Almost overnight, government agencies were expected to offer services remotely and digitally. The impact of COVID-19 is reflected in the 2021 NASCIO State CIO Top 10 Priorities to which state and local government technology leaders contribute steadfastly each year.
